In April,2007, on being recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC),Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan started it’s School of Nursing for the  Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (Revised)   [ ANMR] programme under the PPP scheme of the National Rural Health Mission, West Bengal and imparted the  training for two sessions till 2010. Fifty students, (30 from Jalpaiguri and 20 from Howrah  districts),  selected  by  the  State Government,  completed  the  course  commendably.

The ANM School has been upgraded to a GNM School in 2011, and with the permission  and recognition of Indian Nursing Council and West Bengal Nursing Council, Matri Bhavan School of Nursing is conducting 3½ years General Nursing and Midwifery Course with an Annual intake of 20 students.
